Vacheron & Constantin 1827 Rare Antique Quarter Repeater 22 CaliberPocket Watch

  
Exquisite and very rare Vacheron & Constantin Quarter repeater pocket watch cased in a fully guilloche, half-bassine, four-body on hinge case. Striking the quarters on demand by pushing the pendant, security sliding block at 1 o'clock. Movement: 22 caliber quarter-repeater, winding and setting by key, 4 jewels.

Cylinder escapement, regulator with thermic compensation mechanism using bimetallic blades, barrel with stopwork device. Dial: White enamel, black enameled Roman numerals, external "railroad" minute-circle. The original silver dial was replaced, when the watch was ordered, with an enamel dial, is original to the watch and its number matches case and movement numbers. I have included pictures of each. 2016: serviced, repaired and certified by Julien Marchenoire, Director du Patrimoine at VC in Geneva.

Watch comes with key and a handsome Vacheron Constantin box. Please study the photos and ask questions prior to purchasing this fine timepiece. Because of the certification by Vacheron Constantin this sale will be a final sale. Please also note that VC contacted me inquiring if I would sell the watch but since their policy is to not make offers and only respond to offers made by sellers I didn't sell the watch.
