Rare Pair (2) Antique Staffordshire Chinoiserie Blue/white Teacups Nudes & Lion

A wonderful rare pair of Antique Staffordshire Blue and White Tea Cups & Saucers, 18/early 19 century. The cups feature unusual scene of a pair of nudes riding a lion on one side and a threesome romping in the bushes on the other side! The form of the cups is in the old London style with pointy handles.

The saucers are a deep dish style without the center indents. Beautiful vibrant blue and white color, delicate thin porcelain. Approx measurements: Cups - 2"h x 3.25"w at rim Saucers - 4.5"w x 1"h Good antique condition, there is crazing and one small fleabite chip to the base of one cup, also the usual firing imperfectsion such as glaze pops - see photos. No makers mark, only handwritten in blue to bottoms 68. A terrific find for the tea cup collector!
