A fine example of antique Chinese scholar's items from the early to mid 19th Century, possibly made around 1830 (for your reference only). Finely made to suit the taste of the 19th century Chinese scholars, the sides with stylish indented corners, decorated to the interior with a singing bird perching on a small tree, with a butterfly hovering over a chrysanthemum, surrounded with a geometrical border, with the 4 sides decorated with prunus blossoms on the background of crackled ice.
