Center body of vase has beautiful orchid flowers on front and daisies on back with other small blue flowers, all with gilt encrusted foliage. The vase has curved gilt decorated handles below neck and attached at shoulder.
We believe this vase was decorated by well known Wedgwood decorator Christopher Dresser. The stamp would have "England" (Country of origin) added after 1991. Measures 11 1/4" high with a top diameter of 3 1/4", maximum width is 6 1/2"and the base is 3 3/4" in diameter. This nice vase is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws. The only minor issue to be noted is some faint rubbing to the gilding at the base of one handle and on the bottom edge from normal wear (see photos). This is an exceptional example of this type Wedgwood porcelain and in an usually large size. The combination of colors is gorgeous!
