Nantgarw Pattern Verte Pois Plate c1820 Measures 22cms or 8 & 3/4 diameter Hand Painted with a wild dog rose illustration. The plate is in good antique condition. It is finely crazed on both sides & has some signs of age and wear. These include a few spots of discolouration to the porcelain in the crazing on the top side and some to the base. There are original firing marks on the piece and there is a very small historical chip on the foot trim reverse which we may be from the kiln stand.

There are two very small hairlines that are hard to spot on the reverse. We found these under our inspection lamp on inspection. They do not penetrate the porcelain to the front so they may only be glaze deep flaws. The gilt has some minor rubbing mainly to the rim. Theses are not detractable signs of wear at all but noted as condition is not impeccable but commensurate with age Please see images for inspection of this very beautiful rare peice as it is difficult to describe and the photographs provide a clear showcase of the plate details and can be supersized.
