I was given some back ground on this. It is a rare hand painted piece. The saucer contains a poem on the back. It was a gift from husband to wife and sadly they were getting divorced. The pattern is floral with a bird design.

I do welcome information on this. There is no crazing and nothing is cracked. There are a couple of imperfection spots, almost like dents.

I have so much china and no matter what I research I can never seem to find a matching piece. The previous owner was very well off and lived in one of the most expensive areas in Fairfield County, CT.

Therefore what they paid for this does not surprise me at all. I get so many amazing items.
