SILVER PLATED-RARE brown/white CARVED SHELL PENDANT/BROOCH BOAT-VILLAGE CAMEO?? WHAT a treat this expertly carved (conch shell) boat / village scene is for its Rareness.

The frame is silver plated over copper (slightly worn with copper showing through). It has a fold over safety catch on the C-clasp. These hand made clasps started appearing late Victorian period early 1900, s. Not like the fold over clasps mass produced 1930, s onwards. It also has a bale ring so you can wear it as a pendant.

The carving and colour is where the real VALUE is!!! Brown cameos are extremely rare and highly sort after by collectors. This carving is prized for the boat scene (highly collectable).
