Antique Dress Corset 1820 to 1830 Rare Regency White Corded Cotton Provenance

  
A rare antique original Regency period 1820 to 1830 white cotton corset that was worn by Mary H. Her name is stamped on the lower hemline. Not sure on the last name because it is hard to read. The bust is decorated with rows of padded cording. The neckline, armscyes and shoulder straps are all piped. The corset has back lacing and side gussets on the hemline. The lacing being used is for display purposes only and not included. The corset is lined with a layer of cotton.

The corset is all hand stitched. Also listed this week is an early pair of pantaloons. The corset is in very good and clean condition. There is one tiny age mark on the lower front and a couple of pea size holes in the lining only. A wonderful garment to add to an early textile collection that is rarely seen on the open market.
