An extremely rare Dutch Delft Delftware tin glaze faience Albarello Hi-ire ointment pharmaceutical apothecaries jar / pot. Some of these pots were found back in Japan. Dutch traders stationed on the Island Decima gave these pots to the local people who treasured these exotic pots very much. Even some of these pots were found in the graves of the famous shoguns.Now seen as important treasures in Japan and exhibited in the National Museum of Japan / Tokyo + Nezu Institute. Also these important antique pots are used in the famous Japanese tea ceramony tradition by the highest classes. A near identical pot is illustrated in the book by Dr.
